This is a project I became involved with late

system status. I stepped in with Usability resources to
improve on the existing UI under time and technology
constraints.

iterations using rapid prototyping tools, heuristic analysis, and
user-centered design methodologies. We mapped our solutions to
next-generation company strategies and here's what we accomplished
working with the development team. Fortune 500 companies ranked

A Taiwan based company
wanted to start marketing their motorized bicycles to the US.
I worked on this DePaul project with Amy Tse.
Amy’s part of the team was on the Information Services
(developer) side.
My part of the team worked on the Human Computer Interaction
(usability, research) side.
Together we collaborated on the look and feel based on our
areas of expertise.

Human-Computer
Interaction Practitioners' Professional Standards
 | Thanks to inspiration from The Independent Writers of Chicago, I'm
in the midst of developing a professional standards document for entrepreneurial
HCI engineers. I've found this to be valuable (typically used in
a proposals) for setting expectations and good communication at the
outset of any independent work. The local CHI group is working
with me to provide this tool to members. It's a work in
progress, so any feedback or input would be much appreciated. . . |

 | Here is an educational product example. Clicking
around in the left frame allows you to look through various content
areas. I integrated windshield surveys, which are basically 2-4 minute
video captures of places in the Chicago area. The idea here was to free up class time spent on costly and
time consuming field-trips by delivering these geographic examples
over the network or Internet. |
